On 13.03.2020, the Republic of Bulgaria declared a state of emergency due to the established presence of COVID-19. The state of emergency allows the imposition of measures such as travel bans to and from countries with large coronavirus outbreaks and the cancellation of events of any character and size, including conferences.
Escalation of the COVID‐19 coronavirus around the world, along with the recent new cases in Bulgaria, demonstrates that the environment continues to change, making it difficult to predict from day to day.
Therefore, unfortunately, GEOLINKS Organizing Team and Committee were forced to postpone the conference which was planned to be held in 23-25 March 2020.
The new dates and all relevant details for the event will be announced soon on our website, Facebook page and Newsletter.
We take our duty of care of the GEOLINKS conference participants, committee and staff very seriously. We believe the decision to postpone the event is the prudent and responsible decision.
We, GEOLINKS Team, believe that we are on that journey together. Making healthy, reasonable choices about what to do and what not to do will make a big difference in being able to stay as safe and as well as possible. We hope for good health to every our participant and their families and we're positively looking on welcoming you in Bulgaria, when the times get right.
